Known for his dynamic personality, sincere passion and knowledge of all things random, Ed originally went to school to become a physical therapist assistant but the overachiever in him didn’t stop there. After completing his PTA degree, Ed went back to school to become an Occupational Therapist. His inspiration for therapy came from the challenge of figuring out how to make people better. He is a board member of Parkinson’s Foundation, Keiser University PTA Board, MSOT Board, COTA Board and a winner of the Employer of the Year Awarded by Keiser University in 2017 and a member of The Movement Disorder Society of Florida. As the Director of Therapy, Ed continuously dreams up unique and innovative treatment programs for the patients and brings them to fruition. The best part of his job is seeing the treatments work and the patients seeing success.

Jodi received her Physical Therapy degree at Boston University and now uses her role as the Clinic Director to teach the staff necessary skills to becoming successful. She is a member of the APTA and Movement Disorder Society as well as Certified in Allied Team Training. Her favorite part of working at FLMTC is seeing the therapists and staff interact with the patients and putting smiles of their faces while making them feel better.

Roy Cohen is a long tenured business executive in several entrepreneurial and corporate business environments. As a Founding Executive of The Sports Authority, he helped the company grow from an idea to over 70 locations. His focus is streamlining the business operations to enable FLMTC to grow.

Originally from upstate New York, Tyler attended Springfield College in Massachusetts for his undergraduate degree. After completion, it was on to Tallahassee for his Masters Degree at Florida State University. From there, Tyler moved to South Florida to start his career in sales and marketing. After spending the next 10 years in several sales/marketing positions in various industries such as retail, digital, affiliate and others, Tyler is excited to be a part of the Florida Movement Therapy Centers team.

A Boston native, Christina and her family are new Florida residents and reside in Parkland. With a varied accounting background in the health care industry, Christina is responsible for Accounts Payable, Billing and General Accounting.

Before becoming our HR Manager, Jamie was an elementary school teacher for 8 years. After deciding she was ready for a career change, she began working for FLMTC at the frontdesk and was quickly promoted to her current position. Jamie is an avid dog lover and amazing cook. She is also a proud alumna of the University of Central Florida. Go Knights!

As a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native, Jeff received his Masters of Occupational Therapy Degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Jeff’s favorite part about working at FLMTC is building relationships with his patients and watching them get better.

Hailing from Nebraska, Kortnee received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University after deciding she wanted to pursue a career in the medical field. It is the positive energy that the staff, patients and their families create that makes her job at FLMTC fun.

Originally from Key West, Florida, Savannah pursued her dream to be a physical therapist in New York and received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Daemen College. After working in New York City as a Physical Therapist, Savannah was ready to get back to her roots and away from the cold. She moved back to Florida to continue her career. Savannah’s favorite part of working at Florida Movement Therapy Centers is helping people and changing their lives for the better.

Tucker is originally from Shippensburg, PA. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science: Exercise Science (West Chester University of PA); Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (University of the Sciences in Philadelphia). He Lives in Ft. Lauderdale and is a Certified Personal Trainer.

Alex was born in New York City and raised in Coral Springs, FL. She received her Bachelors degree in Exercise Science from Florida State University in 2012 and graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2016. Her favorite part of working for FLMTC is seeing her patients reach their goals and improve their quality of life.

Derek is originally from Chattanooga, TN, but now lives in Boca Raton with his wife, 2 kids and 2 dogs. He went to Keiser University for his COTA degree, as well as his MSOT. His favorite part of working for FLMTC is helping his patients enjoy their lives as much as possible.

Born in Colorado Springs CO, Karen has been a Floridian since 1985. She attended South University for PTA and Florida College of Natural Health for LMT.

Taylor is from Fort Lauderdale Florida and attended Keiser University. Taylor works at Florida Movement Therapy Centers in Boca Raton.

Vanessa Huby was born and raised in Peru but has been living in the US for 26 years. She is fluent in Spanish and English. Vanessa studied at Keiser University and has been working at Florida Movement Therapy Centers for 2 years.
Lisa is from Long Island, New York and she received her BS in Health Science and MA in Physical Therapy from Touro College. She lived in New Jersey for 13 years with her husband and two children. Lisa moved to Parkland Florida three years ago and works at FLMTC in Boca Raton.

Nicole was born in Florida and raised in the Fort Lauderdale area. She received her PTA from Keiser University.

Omar is originally from Coral Springs and was raised in Boca Raton, Florida. Omar has his BS in exercises science and health promotion. He attended Keiser University and Florida Atlantic University.

Josh was born in Yona, Guam and currently lives in Lake Worth Florida. He received his degree from Keiser University and works out of the Boynton Beach clinic.

Originally from Florida, Alexis received her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences from the University of Central Florida and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from FIU. Everyone here at FLMTC truly treats each other like family. The atmosphere is always light, fun and uplifting and that is her favorite part about coming to work every day.

Amber came to FLMTC after moving from a small town in Illinois to pursue her PTA degree. She received bachelor degrees in both psychology and business administration from Illinois Wesleyan University, while also running cross country and track & field. It was during her undergrad she developed her passion for therapy. Amber finds being a physical therapist extremely rewarding because she gets to build a connection with her patients and make an impact in their lives.

Shawna has always had a strong desire to be in the medical field since she was young. Her career path started in nursing at Broward College and after completing a semester she decided she wanted to make a larger difference in the lives of her patients. After learning about occupational therapy and the impact it can have on the quality of an individuals life, she knew that was the career for her. There are few career pathways that afford the opportunity to foster inclusion, celebrate humanity as a whole and defy the odds as well as occupational therapy does. Shawna immediately transferred to Keiser University where she graduated with an Associate of Science degree as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. After graduation, she started her career as a COTA in pediatrics where she stayed for 3 years until joining the FLMTC family in August 2018.

Nicholas attended the PTA program at Keiser University in West Palm Beach in 2018. After an extensive career in the culinary industry he wanted a change and had knowledge of exercise and nutrition from prior work experiences. Nicholas had the pleasure of being a student at Florida Movement Therapy Center’s Boca Raton clinic and immediately knew he wanted to start his new career with this company. Nicholas looks forward to seeing the progression of his patients and the joy that comes along with it.

Shiri was born and raised in Boca Raton, Florida. She attended UCF for undergrad and graduate school where she studied communication sciences and disorders. She works at FLMTC in her hometown.

Born in Albany, NY, but grew up in South Florida. Jessie went to the University of Central Florida (UCF) to receive her Bachelors of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders, took a year off to work in an elementary school in Orlando with children on the Autism Spectrum, and then was accepted to Nova Southeastern University’s (NSU) Masters of Science program for Speech-Language Pathology. She has worked as a speech-language pathologist (SLP) in several local middle schools, at FLMTC, and through home health. Jessie loves doing what she does because she loves making connections with and helping patients achieve their goals. In her spare time, Jessie enjoys reading, cooking, shopping, and exercising/playing with her dog.

Growing up Dana has always known she was going to be in a profession where she would be able to share her compassion and love for others. After H.S, Dana worked at a gym for a couple years where she had the opportunity to learn more about health & fitness. Dana then became a Group Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer for a Kickboxing Gym. She had the privilege to learn so much and experience a lot, but felt that she could be more of a contribution to another population. That’s when Dana decided to go to school for Physical Therapy, and it was the best decision she’s done! Dana absolutely loves this field and working with her FLMTC family.
